The
Ottawa County Economic Development Office offers
a number of services to prospective and existing
manufacturers:

Conduct industrial retention visits to
existing manufacturing firms, in conjunction
with the Michigan Economic Development
Corporation.

Provide manufacturers with information on
federal, State, and local business
assistance programs, including financing,
site locations, tax abatements, employee
training and others.

Organize ground breakings and open houses.
Knowledge of available industrial properties
(industrial parks, land and buildings).

Generate and manage industrial leads and
prospects from the Michigan Economic
Development Corporation, utility companies,
local governments and others.
-
Promote new industrial locations which are
compatible with the existing industrial base
and contribute to the diversity of the local
economy.

Provide area information and resource
materials like a county profile, prospectus
and manufacturers directory.

Coordinate area visits with prospects.
-
Provide information on the
Kent-Ottawa-Muskegon Foreign Trade Zone
Authority #189.
-
Coordinate efforts with other local economic
development organizations.
